Gender Responsive Assessment Scale
About the Project
This learning object was created to supplement a Healthcare in Diverse Population course. The Gender Responsive Assessment Scale (GRAS) is a way to assess programs and policies to see just how gender-responsive they are. The GRAS has five levels, or types of program or policy approaches, forming a framework that helps determine where and how gender is being addressed in a healthcare program or those healthcare programs you are working to support. In the box below, students will see a chart with the five different levels of the GRAS. By clicking on each level (the colored boxes), the students can read more about the characteristics of each level of the GRAS, along with an example of a program or policy that is classified as belonging on that level.
